Hi my friend,
If you’re a long-time reader, you’ve probably noticed a lot of changes with this newsletter.
Until Now
Last year, I aimed to publish one email a month.
I experimented with lengths, formats, delivery times, and topics. I was never concerned with growing my subscriber count. My only focus was building the habit of writing about marketing for designers and builders.
I really enjoyed it! About 50% of you open these emails and 3% reply. I’ve also gotten a better sense of what you like and dislike.
Going Forward
This year? I’m upping the ante.
- The newsletter has a new name: “Marketing Meets Design.”
- I’m writing weekly or bi-weekly. Depending on the season.
- And I got some help:
- Jasmine, Findable’s Content Strategist and Editor, reviews and refines them.
- Filo, our Technical SEO Manager, publishes them on our website and social media channels.
- Aleksandra, a freelance illustrator, will join us to create custom illustrations.
Submit Your Marketing Question
Most importantly, I’ll answer your questions. Submit a sales or marketing question, and I’ll write about one each week.
ASK A QUESTIONMy crystal ball says many of you will ask about social media, branding and press. Those topics perform well and are top-of-mind for many of you.
But I’ll be honest, friend. I’m a nerd for numbers.
Data, SEO, positioning and consumer psychology are my strengths. They’re like the “broccoli” of marketing. Not as fun but just as necessary.
So, I encourage you to ask the hard, uncomfortable questions.
- “Should I invest in redesigning my website now or later?”
- “Is social media worth it?”
- “Should I put my prices on the website?”
- “I feel like my marketing isn’t working. What’s going on?”
Don’t be shy. Ask away! And keep an eye on your inbox on Thursdays for my answers.
See you next Thursday,
Daniela
