Hello my friend,
Jude Kamal of Sansa Interiors doesn’t have to chase projects. They come to her.
- In 2021, she got 18 leads.
- By 2022, she hit 71.
- And in 2023, she cracked triple digits: 133.
The secret behind her meteoric growth? She ranks in the top three on Google for “interior designer in Toronto.”
But it wasn’t easy. It took a 12-month commitment and a big investment.
In today’s email, I’ll breakdown what we did in three phases. Or read the full case study on our website.

Phase 1 – Tilling the soil
When I first met Jude, she was hungry. Her design firm was only a year old, and she had experimented with just about everything to generate leads—social media, YouTube videos, Google Ads, blogging, mail flyers, and even billboards.
The problem? She’d try something for a few months, get frustrated with the lack of results, and move on before developing a strategy or process.
Her portfolio also lacked focus. She did a little bit of everything–houses, condos, offices, cafes–but didn’t have a clear niche that would make her stand out.
So, in the first month, we got to work:
- We developed a marketing strategy to narrow their focus only on two niches: single family houses and cafes. We also set clear KPIs. No more throwing things at the wall.
- We redesigned key landing pages on their website to better showcase her niches and attract the right clients. Like this one.
- Set up a sales tracking process to help her easily manage leads and clearly see the impact of our efforts.
Phase 2 – Planting seeds
With a solid foundation in place, we could put the strategy into action.
We focused on a few key tactics to position her as an expert, bring in consistent leads, and grow her firm in a manageable way:
- Ran targeted ads to reach even more of her ideal target customers.
- Turned her “photo gallery” portfolio into “storytelling” case studies to educate prospect clients on what it’s really like to hire a designer or renovate a space. Here’s an example.
- Consistently published SEO-friendly content to help her rise to the top of Google – but only about residential and cafe design.
Phase 3 – Growing a tree
With the strategy in motion and results starting to show, the next step was ensuring Jude’s firm could sustain this growth.
Here’s how we set her up for long-term success:
- Secured features in prestigious publications like DesignMilk, Casa Vogue, Elle, and Chic Haus to position Jude as an industry leader.
- Trained her assistant to maintain the momentum of their marketing efforts.
- Offered ongoing support on an as-needed basis after the program ended.
Some of the most rewarding client journeys start like this: small steps that lead to massive transformations. Sansa didn’t just gain more inquiries. They built a thriving, sustainable business with a steady flow of dream projects.
The best part? They now have the tools and confidence to keep growing on their own.
